From Finance to Finding Talent
My name is Jeff Crowell, and I am an Account Manager here at ITS. After more than two decades in the banking world, I found myself at a crossroads, ready for something new, something that felt more personal and impactful. That's when the opportunity to join ITS came along, and I never looked back. I started out as a recruiter, tapping into my sales background and local business relationships. Over time, I transitioned into an account manager role, where I've been able to help clients solve real hiring challenges by connecting them with the talent they need. Knowing my work is helping businesses and people move forward has been incredibly gratifying.
What I Look for in a Great Fit
For me, it's not just about checking boxes on a resume. Of course, experience and technical skills are important, but equally important is the fit. Every company has its own culture and rhythm, so finding someone who complements that is where the magic really happens. I take the time to understand what my clients truly need (usually by focusing on the top three must-have skills), and then I look for candidates who align both professionally and personally. This method of finding the perfect fit is what makes a placement actually last.
Life Outside the Office
Outside of work, I'm all about good times, good company, and recently, adventure. I love taking day trips with my wife and close friends to local wineries and breweries, spending quality time with my family, golfing, and perfecting my barbecue game. One of my favorite ways to unwind is sitting in my backyard with a nice cigar and some bourbon; simple pleasures, right? Lately, I've even discovered truck bed camping. Some might call it a midlife crisis, but I'd argue it's far from buying an expensive sports car. I'm actually planning my first solo weekend trip this May!
Something You Might Not Know About Me
I'm a pretty open book, but one of my lesser-known interests is my love for military and war history; I'll read or watch anything on the topic. And for a fun throwback… back in high school, I worked for the Toledo Mud Hens and even got to do a skit with the San Diego Chicken! It is not exactly something you expect to put on a resume, but it is a great memory nonetheless!
